Most people probably know that Michigan is shaped like a mitten. When I was little, our teacher would hold up her hand and show us where we lived. Even after we moved from Michigan to Alabama, when people would ask me where I was from I would hold up my hand and point. As posting a picture of my hand isn’t really going to help you know where I’m talking about I found a map instead.
For the most part, I have been focusing on my family from Detroit, which is in Wayne County, Big Rapids and Mecosta Township, which are in Mecosta County, and Norwich, in Newaygo County.
I have also mentioned in post Pontiac, which is in Oakland County, Michigan.
For other places we may go, please see my locations page.
Happy Searching!
